Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our Public Works team as a Maintenance Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to urban stream maintenance, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate light equipment and vehicles to maintain urban streams and detention ponds
  • Assist in inspecting and testing wastewater collection and stormwater systems
  • Clean, maintain, and repair wastewater collection and stormwater systems
  • Assist in maintaining access to system manholes, taps, and lines
  • Connect, remove, and replace service line hook-ups for residential, commercial, and industrial customers
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems
  • Assist with stormwater permit activities, including data collection, riparian planting, door hanger distribution, and storm drain marking
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Oregon Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background/criminal history check
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform manual labor for extended periods of time under adverse weather conditions
