Veterinary Assistant Role at Banfield Pet Hospital

As a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of pet health care professionals to provide exceptional care to our furry friends. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and other associates, and maintaining the continuity of quality veterinary care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures and exams
  • Help maintain a clean and organized treatment area, exam rooms, and labs
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other team members to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities to advance your career

Requirements:

  • Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice
