Job Summary:The Therapeutic Support Specialist will provide individualized support to children with intellectual disabilities and behavioral issues in a special education learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Behavioral Support: Reinforce and provide positive behavior support to individuals or small groups of students as directed by administration.
- Classroom Management: Observe and control behavior of students inside and outside of classroom according to approved procedures.
- School Operations: Assist with setting up work areas, displays, and exhibits, and operate educational equipment as needed.
- Clerical Tasks: Perform various clerical duties such as preparing behavioral materials, recording points, taking attendance, and maintaining records.
- Patient Care: Ensure the well-being of students by following all health and safety rules and regulations.
- Experience: Two years experience in child development, preferably in a day school setting.
- Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma with the above required experience.
