Job Title: Contract Manager

The Contract Manager plays a critical role in the success of A-C Electric Company by overseeing the development, evaluation, negotiation, and oversight of construction contracts, master agreements, purchase orders, and other contractual documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Development and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements to ensure alignment with corporate goals and mitigate risk.
  • Contractual Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in contracts and agreements, advising stakeholders and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related discussions with owners and customers, facilitating effective communication and contract execution.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless contract integration into project workflows.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contract documents and provide regular reports to management on contract status and performance metrics.
Additional Job Duties:
  • Lead a team to process contractual agreements from contract change orders to securing bonds and releases of liabilities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the contract management process, including the development and implementation of standardized templates, tools, and procedures.
  • Field inquiries from and proactively contact client managers, PMs, and other leaders regarding risks involved in contract(s).
  • Coordinate with the Director of Safety for compliance with safety specifications and/or requirements.
Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the construction industry. Experience in electrical construction projects is a plus.

Skills:

  • Possesses a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
  • Personal organization.
  • High Integrity and Honesty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical construction contracts.
  • Familiarity with master service agreements and construction project financing.
  • Certification from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or similar organizations.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $145,000. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
