Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Survey Department Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our aerial survey and cadastral survey divisions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and managing the execution of boundary, construction, aerial, and topographic surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the aerial survey and cadastral survey divisions.
  • Review and approve monthly billing and weekly timecards for all survey work and staff.
  • Prepare estimates and bids/proposals for new work.
  • Prepare contracts, set up new work, and work with division managers to assign resources to these jobs.
  • Monitor budgets and work progress, address contract changes, and change order negotiations.
  • Develop new business and client relations.
  • Oversee the execution of construction survey work with attention to proper training and execution of field procedures that minimize errors and maximize efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to supervise, oversee, and train staff in the execution of boundary, construction, aerial, and topographic surveys.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in field and office operations.
  • A LSIT certification with progress towards a PLS certification.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong software skills in the execution of work in the C3D software environment. Proficiency in Leica Infinity processing is very desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently move about inside the office.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors, in varying temperature conditions.
  • Must be able to move items up to 25 lbs.

Salary Range: $105k to $145k dependent heavily on technical experience, years in the industry, and leadership capabilities.
