About the Role

The Director of Marketing Operations will play a critical role in driving the success of our marketing efforts by overseeing and enhancing our marketing operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing operations strategies that align with the company's business objectives and support the overall marketing plan.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve marketing policies, processes, workflows, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the promotional/medical material review function, including team structure, organizational design, and resource management.
  • Partner with IT and digital marketing leads to optimize promotional material review for digital channels.
  • Oversee the print content lifecycle, including implementation of fulfillment systems, creation of process documentation, and development of training materials, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Accountable for speaker and ambassador program structure, design, and field execution.
  • Plan and execute high-profile meetings and events to ensure alignment with Avidity's strategic goals.
  • Ensure seamless integration and utilization of marketing technologies and sales CRM systems to drive marketing performance.
  • Partner with brand leads, IT, and the digital center of excellence to develop marketing performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Manage the marketing operations budget, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Support process audits and compliance discussions to help drive and measure policy adherence and maintain compliance standards.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the biotechnology or life sciences industry is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Biotechnology, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Launch experience with a history of building systems and processes from the ground up.
  • Experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms.
  • Proven track record in process improvement, strategic planning, and performance measurement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and seizing opportunities.
