Job Overview:

The Director of Electrical Engineering will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all initiatives within the Electrical Engineering Department. This critical position demands a visionary leader skilled in promoting innovation and excellence in engineering practices, ensuring that our sophisticated systems consistently meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. The Director will serve as a key liaison, engaging with Senior Management, Clients, Project Managers, and other stakeholders at Fibertek's R&D facility. Alongside these leadership duties, the selected candidate will play a vital role in the design, integration, and testing of electrical circuits, as well as program management.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of over 25 electrical engineers and technicians specializing in the design, analysis, and testing of advanced electronic systems.
  • Drive the development of cutting-edge processes and tools to maintain Fibertek's status as a premier provider of systems for demanding aerospace and military applications.
  • Oversee the design, integration, and testing of electrical circuits, with a strong focus on electrical engineering management.
  • Allocate and manage electrical engineering resources across approximately 30 active projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of exceptional electrical engineering professionals.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of department personnel, including the implementation of training programs.
  • Manage personnel work plans, conduct performance assessments, and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the technical excellence and quality compliance of all Electrical Engineering outputs.
  • Lead and participate in essential meetings and design reviews within the Electrical Engineering team.
  • Establish and enforce design standards and procedures to enhance departmental workflow.
  • Supervise the creation of program documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with system specifications.
  • Contribute to the preparation and refinement of technical proposals.
