Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the care of patients in the Cardiac Unit, including developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care and meeting the needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and therapists, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided in the Cardiac Unit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the Cardiac Unit is running efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or a Compact State.
  • 3 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a cardiac unit.
  • Specialty certification in cardiology or a related field.
  • Leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a cardiac unit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a basic professional nursing degree (BSN) required and a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • 1 year of leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a cardiac unit.
