Position Summary
The Marine Technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to both our team and customers. This position involves diagnosing and repairing various issues with boats, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in every task. Our technicians are committed to providing outstanding customer service, leaving clients eager to return.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose a diverse range of issues using experience and analytical skills.
- Stay updated on the latest marine diagnostic technologies.
- Assist in training new technicians.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and lubrication of engines and major components.
- Repair various types of boats, including inboard, outboard, and trailers.
- Help with the setup and testing of new boats.
- Summarize and winterize boats from all brands.
- Utilize a variety of shop tools and equipment effectively.
- Safely move boats up to 30 feet in length.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a productive team environment.
- Ensure a safe and organized workspace.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and work independently.
- Provide personal hand tools.
- Promote the MKB Holdings brand.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a technical repair role preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Trailering: Experience with trailering is required.
- Boat Operation: Ability to operate a variety of boats is essential.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
The work environment is typically medium to loud, with potential exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. Employees may be required to stand, sit, or crouch for extended periods and lift up to 80 pounds occasionally.
