We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse I to join our Pediatric Float Pool team at Albany Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse I, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge.
- Deliver and coordinate patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring that competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interprofessional teams to formulate individualized plans of care and prioritize care to meet patient and family needs across the continuum.
- Implement strategies to address health promotion, prevention of illness/injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of pain/suffering, and supportive care.
- Evaluate patient progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes, determining the effectiveness of interventions and strategies based on patient response.
- Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with a current license to practice in the state of New York.
- Must have a strong understanding of pediatric nursing principles and practices.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
