The Clinical Nurse Med Surg Float Pool Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience is required.
