Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on high-speed packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with packaging equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new packaging equipment
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimal downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Utilize a range of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience working with high-speed packaging equipment is highly desirable
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Performance Measures & Standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with packaging equipment in a timely and effective manner
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on packaging equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation
  • Assist production teams with equipment setup and adjustments to ensure seamless operation
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Utilize a range of tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repair tasks
Customer Service, Teamwork & Code of Conduct
  • Maintain a safe, legal, and environmentally protective work environment
  • Listen to and respond to customer concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Follow established guidelines for GMP, quality, and food safety requirements
  • Maintain training on applicable procedures in quality, GMP, and food safety
  • Report any food safety, security, or quality issues to management or the HACCP team
