Job Summary:
Rookwood Properties is seeking a skilled Floating Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our multi-residential apartment buildings, grounds, and vacant units.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain personal technical skills to provide exceptional service and minimize outside vendor usage.
  • Supervise outside contractors involved in property maintenance, as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program to minimize repairs and maintain property condition.
  • Ensure timely completion of service requests and repairs through personal efforts.
  • Ensure vacant units are made rent-ready in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a proper inventory of supplies and tools, consistent with budgetary guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the property management team and assist the overall team effort.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in apartment maintenance or construction.
  • HVAC Certification (Type II or Universal) a plus.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Basic Residential Electrical Experience.
  • Basic Residential Plumbing Experience.
  • Carpentry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality site appearance and curb appeal.
  • Ability to work independently and have a good work ethic.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Valid driver's license required.
