Patient Care Technician Preceptor

As a Patient Care Technician Preceptor at Fresenius Medical Care North America, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the growth and development of our clinical team. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will work closely with our experienced healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including hemodialysis treatments, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Serve as a preceptor for new staff members, providing guidance and support to help them develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.
Collaborate with our clinical team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Current certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or equivalent required; certification in hemodialysis or related field preferred.
At least five years of experience in a hospital or dialysis setting, with a focus on patient care and clinical support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and meeting productivity standards.
