Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to women throughout their lives, from adolescence to senior care. Our Shoreview Clinic offers a unique blend of services, including well visits, preventive screenings, and specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and gynecologic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to women, including obstetric and gynecologic services.
  • Collaborate with patients to improve their health and well-being, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management, utilizing quality improvement tools to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance initiatives.
Practice Details
  • We have eight labor and delivery locations, with over 13,800 deliveries per year, and a team of 53 OBGYNs, 21 OB hospitalists, and 13 Clinical Nurse Midwives.
  • We offer nursing support programs, including Rx refills, triage, and pap results, as well as after-hours answering service support.
  • Our quaternary hospital, Abbott Northwestern, features a Level IV NICU, while our tertiary hospitals, Mercy and United, have Level III NICUs.
  • We also offer mentorship and learning opportunities from a group of 80+ providers across our health system.
  • Our EMR, Excellian, is a comprehensive system from Epic, and we offer competitive salary, benefit, and time away packages, including malpractice insurance and relocation assistance.
Requirements
  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA within Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
  • BLS Tier 3 - required within 6 months of hire.
