In this pivotal role as a Financial Reporting Specialist within the Peoria Record-to-Report team, you will have the chance to significantly influence and support various functions within our shared services division. This includes providing essential legal entity assistance, strategic insights, and informed decision-making regarding financial and transactional systems.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee the closing processes for GBS facilities, including the analysis and presentation of actual financial outcomes.

+ Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation processes to support facility operations.

+ Offer technical expertise and guidance to the team.

+ Lead diverse and comprehensive activities that necessitate adherence to U.S. GAAP and Caterpillar's accounting standards.

+ Collaborate with Technical Accounting to address complex business issues, including financial reporting requirements.

+ Advocate for our shared services model and engage in the development and execution of our business strategies.

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, providing direction to colleagues.

+ Work with the team to standardize reporting processes, emphasizing lean transformation.

+ Foster talent and organizational growth by mentoring and guiding team members within the shared services Center of Excellence and our third-party providers.

Qualifications:

+ Precision and Detail Orientation: Recognizing the importance of accuracy and the ability to perform tasks with exceptional precision.

+ Financial Acumen: Understanding finance and accounting principles, along with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively across various scenarios.

+ Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analytical techniques and tools, with the ability to identify root causes of organizational challenges and propose viable solutions.

+ Project Management: Knowledge of effective self-management strategies, enabling the handling of multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

+ Financial Analysis Expertise: Familiarity with financial analysis tools and the capability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial data.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

+ CPA/CMA certification is advantageous.

+ Over 5 years of experience in accounting.
