Geologist Job Description

Atlas is a leading provider of civil engineering, materials testing, and geotechnical consulting services for environmental, industrial, and infrastructure construction projects. We are seeking a skilled Geologist to join our team in Southern, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and gather geologic information to support project development.
  • Identify potential geological impacts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Assist with the development of technical reports and measurements to ensure project safety and success.
  • Participate in field investigations and collect data to inform project decisions.
  • Map and evaluate geological data to provide insights for project planning and execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant professional licensure and certifications.
  • Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission of ABET Certification preferred.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret geologic maps, cross sections, and written reports.

Compensation and Benefits:

$72,800 - $95,680 annually. Atlas offers a comprehensive benefit program, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, as well as paid time off and holidays.
