We are seeking a skilled Fabrication and Machining Estimator to join our team at Lovegreen Industrial Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing detailed and accurate estimates for our fabrication and machining processes.
Key Responsibilities- Interpretation and Analysis: Interpret drawings, blueprints, and other construction documents used in the fabrication and machining processes.
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and delivery.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Secure quotes from vendors and subcontractors as needed to complete estimates.
- Job Processing and Routing: Process jobs and create shop routings to ensure efficient production.
- Purchasing and Inventory Management: Purchase materials and parts for jobs and maintain inventory levels.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and manage relationships with outsourced manufacturing partners to fulfill specific production needs.
- Project Support: Support projects through completion, interfacing with production and project management to address issues, change orders, timeline, etc.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze estimates to actual costs to understand cost overruns (if applicable) and improve quoting process.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in a job shop manufacturing or machining environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical mind, attention to detail, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of JobBoss is a strong plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
