Job Overview

Kaiser Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Specialist to oversee our quality control processes in the manufacturing of industrial sewn goods.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, including ISO 9001, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee all quality control processes, including incoming materials inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product evaluations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor quality assurance staff on best practices, quality standards, and inspection techniques.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, report findings, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis for quality failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and regulations related to sewn and cut goods.
  • Act as a liaison with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related issues and inquiries.
  • Manage documentation related to quality control processes, including reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Textile Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the manufacturing sector, preferably with sewn and cut goods.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry-specific regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
