Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor Nursing Unit, the staff nurse plans, implements, and evaluates and documents nursing care for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Monitor and document patient progress
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of RN experience
  • Associate's Degree - Nursing or BSN degree
  • Current Texas Registered Nursing license or identified compact state license
  • BLS certification
  • ALS certification within 6 months of hire
  • ENPC certification within 12 months of hire
  • TNCC or ATCN certification within 12 months of hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 60 days of hire and annually
