About the Role
Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, and developing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and use medical equipment as needed to provide patient care.
- Monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
- Current Texas Registered Nursing license or identified compact state license.
- BLS certification required upon hire, ALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- ENPC certification required within 12 months of hire.
- TNCC or ATCN certification preferred.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 60 days of hire and annually.
