Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Residential Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $55,000 annually, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Experience with painting, repairing damaged walls, and monitoring/replacing lights is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and replacements on various items, including windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, smoke alarms, baseboards, mirrors, closet doors, ceiling fans, mini blinds, faucets, sink plugs, washers, holes in the walls, and hanging drapes.

In addition to technical skills, we seek an individual who can maintain a positive, professional image and demonstrate exceptional teamwork skills. The ability to keep sensitive information confidential is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Painting and repairing damaged walls
  • Monitoring and replacing lights as necessary
  • Repairing and/or replacing windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, smoke alarms, baseboards, mirrors, closet doors, ceiling fans, mini blinds, faucets, sink plugs, washers, holes in the walls, and hanging drapes
  • Repairing all appliances and reporting problems to the Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager
  • Monitoring and changing locks and making keys as necessary
  • Performing repairs to sinks and bathtubs, and minor repairs and replacement of bathroom tile
Requirements
  • Solid teamwork skills with flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate maintenance needs of property
  • Must be able to climb stairs on regular basis
  • Must be available to assist with after-hours emergency situations
  • Must be reliable and present a positive, professional image
  • Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to lift/move 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Possible exposure to changing weather conditions and chemical fumes
