Job Overview
This role involves the setup of machinery, quality assurance of products, and ensuring the smooth operation of production items within machining areas, adhering to the Zimmer Standard for both quantity and quality. Additional responsibilities may include non-destructive testing, cell support, mass finishing, injection molding, and polishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure machines, lathes, mills, or machining centers for product manufacturing.
- Engage in continuous process enhancement initiatives.
- Document production metrics through the DPI terminal and maintain accurate count records.
- May undertake additional responsibilities within the cell as required.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
- Ability to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Capable of working effectively in a team-oriented, cellular environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in machine setup operations.
Education and Experience Requirements
Typically requires a high school diploma along with two years of machining experience on CNC lathes and/or mills, or completion of four semesters of verified vocational or high school machine shop training with one year of CNC experience; alternatively, a combined total of five years of relevant machining experience or equivalent work experience.
Travel Expectations
Up to 5% travel may be required.
