Medical Nurse Specialist

Casa Esperanza is a leading provider of behavioral health treatment services in Boston and the Merrimack Valley. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions.
We are seeking a qualified Medical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Conexiones ATS/CSS, a 32-bed facility that provides clinical stabilization services to adults struggling with substance abuse.
Job SummaryThis is a per diem position responsible for providing medical care and support services to clients undergoing treatment for substance abuse. The successful candidate will have experience working in a hospital or clinical setting and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessments, COWS, CIWA assessments upon admission
- Monitor client vital signs and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and provide education to clients on medication management
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
- Work closely with the medical director to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Massachusetts license as a registered nurse (RN)
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
