Job Title: Construction Safety Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Safety Specialist to oversee safety for our commercial/government construction projects. This role will lead the development of a positive safety culture on project sites.

About the Role:
  • Conduct daily site inspections, document findings, and maintain accurate records.
  • Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive safety library on site and participate in regular meetings as required.
  • Verify subcontractor adherence to safety protocols and inspect their work areas.
  • Provide new hire safety orientation and facilitate on-site safety training sessions.
  • Perform project risk assessments, manage hazard communication programs, and verify worker safety training.
Requirements:
  • 30-hour OSHA certification within the last 5 years.
  • Proof of at least 8 hours of formal safety training annually for the past 5 years.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • 24-hour Competent Person training for Fall Protection compliant with EM 385-1-1 section 21.
  • Certification in Excavations, Scaffolding, Fall protection, Hazardous energy, Confined space, Health Hazard recognition, and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Familiarity with email communication, daily reporting, construction schedules, and iPad use.
What We Offer:
