Overview:

SDI Bio Carbon Solutions is on the lookout for forward-thinking Electrical Engineering professionals to contribute to a pivotal team responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of a state-of-the-art facility aimed at transforming Biomass into a sustainable carbon alternative for steel production. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and operation of the plant's power distribution systems and equipment, while also engaging in capital projects and ongoing facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly in the design, engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the facility.
  • Oversee electrical engineering tasks related to plant projects, including the design, acquisition, and installation of equipment.
  • Manage instrumentation, controls, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Establish and execute preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Supervise high voltage power distribution, protective relaying, transformers, and switchgear maintenance.
  • Lead and mentor electrical maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate and plan maintenance shutdowns effectively.
  • Implement facility construction initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven commitment to safety practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage contractors and engineering teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
