Job Title: Production Control

IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, a leading American-owned electric motor and generator manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Production Control professional to join our on-site team in Mansfield, Ohio. Job Summary:

The Production Control position plays a critical role in the introduction of orders to the manufacturing team, including the creation of bills of materials and purchasing related activities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and establish vendors to meet manufacturing needs
  • Purchase products, materials, and component parts to support production
  • Outsource services required for the manufacturing process
  • Record activities in company's ERP system and other records maintenance platforms as required
  • Create BOMs (bills of materials) to ensure accurate production
  • Issue routings to the manufacturing/production floor to ensure efficient production
  • Maintain MRO system to track and manage inventory
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with Engineering and Production team members to ensure smooth production
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or certified equivalent, and/or education obtained through a tech school, college, or related courses
  • Experience in a position requiring excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with and building relationships with vendors in a B2B environment
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within required deadlines
  • Technical literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus
Working Conditions and Work Hours:
  • Daily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum.
  • This position generally operates in a professional office environment and may occasionally be required to move about the production areas of the facility
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as phones, computers, copiers/printers
