We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Control Systems Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our facilities operations department, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining electronic control systems for our buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement electronic control systems for building energy management, environmental control, and mechanical systems
  • Program and test energy management and building monitoring systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair control equipment, including alarms, electronic equipment, and pneumatic controls
  • Perform diagnostic tasks to identify and repair equipment issues
  • Program changes in computer systems to control lighting, energy consumption, and building environmental systems
  • Install new field sensors and controllers for these systems and add program logic to operating parameters
  • Make recommendations for system changes and operations
Requirements
  • Five (5) years of experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) and integrated electronic control systems or in the building automation systems industry
  • Considerable knowledge of electrical schematics, network troubleshooting, building automated digital control systems, and control logic
  • Knowledge of Building Automation and Control network (BACnet), Boolean logic, and computer-aided software (CAD)
  • Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to program in HTML and XML
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints for building and utility systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer skills relating to a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as AiM
  • Experience using an iPad
  • Experience working at a college campus or similar setting
  • Knowledge and experience with Automated Logic Control (ALC) systems, Andover Controls, ECOStruxure systems, Phoenix Lab Controls, and/or ACCUSPEC
