Senior Level Diesel Technician

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Senior Level Diesel Technician to join our team in Racine, Wisconsin. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs on our heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of complaints
  • Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
