Nursing Academic Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursing Education Expert to join our student-centered community at West Coast University. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share your success story with the next generation of nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key support system for students through workshops, remediation sessions, group tutorials, and one-on-one meetings to enhance course performance and improve learning outcomes.
  • Integrate ATI tools and resources into all student interactions to optimize remediation and concept understanding, ensuring students have the necessary skills to succeed.
  • Develop innovative strategies to boost test-taking skills, study habits, and note-taking techniques, ultimately driving course performance improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty members to identify course weaknesses and develop targeted initiatives to address them effectively.
  • Proactively identify students at risk of persistence issues and create tailored action plans to address their specific needs, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of course-specific persistence strategies and track progress in meeting mutually established objectives with students.
Your Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other essential tools.
  • Familiarity with online learning management systems to engage students and enhance the learning process.
  • Knowledge of technological support and delivery of program area services is beneficial.
Education Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in nursing, education, or administration is mandatory.
  • Professional nurse licensure is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care or equivalent experience.

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
