The successful candidate will have a strong sense of urgency to improve student learning and a proven track record of teaching math at the middle school level based on Common Core Standards. Familiarity with Singapore Math/Math in Focus curriculum is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to differentiate curriculum to meet students' diverse needs and build a classroom culture where students love math and enjoy discovering diverse strategies to solve math problems.

Responsibilities include teaching math at the middle school level, differentiating curriculum, building a classroom culture, and guiding students in preparing for the NY State Math Exam. The candidate will develop weekly lesson plans that correlate with NYS common core curriculum goals and objectives, using a variety of teaching strategies to ensure student engagement and motivation. They will also collaborate with colleagues to plan units and lessons and develop expertise in implementing instruction.

Requirements include NYS Teaching Certification or reciprocity, at least 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level, familiarity with teaching Singapore Math curriculum, and a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree is preferred. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a salary range of $56,811-$154,961.
