Office Nurse RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Office Nurse RN to join our team at Hillsboro Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients, utilizing evidence-based decision making and assessing patient and family needs to develop an individualized plan of care.
- Assist in the care and coordination of patients in an ambulatory/primary care setting, including OB and newborns, HIV, and other chronic conditions.
- Conduct phone triage, coordinate patient flow, and develop plans of care to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient data, including vital signs, weights, and chief complaints, to communicate with healthcare team members.
- Communicate lab and x-ray results to patients and document phone calls.
- Obtain specimens, perform laboratory work, and document data in patient charts, as well as assist physicians with sterile procedures and treatments.
- Promote accident prevention and report potential hazards to maintain a safe environment.
- Respond to emergency situations and contact emergency services as directed by physicians.
- Evaluate patients with concerns about decreased fetal movements, perform term labor checks, and communicate findings to providers as needed.
- Provide patient education as appropriate to the situation.
- Delegate and supervise tasks consistent with other caregivers' scope of practice, adhering to all standards, regulations, and expectations.
- Current Oregon State Registered Nurse license.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Minimum one year of experience as an RN.
- Minimum one year of experience in phone triage.
- At least two years of experience as an RN in an ambulatory/primary care setting.
- At least two years of experience in women's health.
- At least two years of experience in phone triage.
- At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
