Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Piping Department Manager to lead our Piping Design Department in the Houston Engineering Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping engineering and design, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in design and development of piping systems
  • Assign and manage personnel to meet project requirements
  • Develop and mentor designers to improve skills and knowledge
  • Develop man-hour estimates and lead the development of discipline-specific work instructions
  • Audit quality, budget, and schedule for the department
  • Communicate and coordinate with High Value Engineering Center (HVEC) on budget and schedule constraints
Requirements
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in piping engineering or piping design
  • Ability to work on support-level tasks in addition to being a department manager
  • Experience executing multidiscipline engineering projects for industrial clients
  • Experience using laser scanning and 3D design software
  • Experience developing and implementing work processes to streamline execution
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Education

Associates Degree preferred; High School Diploma required
