Position Summary

We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic sales professional who possesses a deep passion for telecommunications, excels in relationship-building, and thrives in a high-energy environment. You will play a crucial role in shaping channel development strategies, determining how Nitel can enhance its business development avenues and channel collaborations. Your responsibilities will include driving sales and fostering partner engagement. You will identify, qualify, train, and oversee sales agents to ensure they consistently generate revenue for Nitel.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Regional Vice President of Channel Sales and the cross-functional leadership team to define market entry strategies, sales objectives, and growth targets.
  • Oversee channel sales agents to ensure they meet or exceed sales quotas; you will manage a mid-level sales quota.
  • Engage with potential candidates and assess their suitability to become sales agents.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales agents on Nitel's products, processes, and protocols to enhance their effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Participate in sales discussions with end users to qualify and present Nitel's solutions.
  • Work alongside sales agents to qualify and strategize on potential sales opportunities for Nitel.
  • Collaborate with sales agents to prepare comprehensive and accurate sales proposals.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure service delivery and maintain high levels of satisfaction for both sales agents and customers.
  • Draft proposals for agents and customers, ensuring sales profitability targets are met on a per-deal basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to cultivate effective partner relationships.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the telecommunications or high-tech sector, demonstrating strong technical aptitude.
  • At least 5 years of experience in channel sales, marketing, and business development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a solid business acumen.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience in training are advantageous.
