Lot Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lot Attendant to join our team at Blue Compass RV Raleigh. As a Lot Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and arrangement of trailers on our lot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to transport trailers to and from service areas and the lot as needed.
  • Park and move RV units in a timely fashion to ensure optimal lot utilization.
  • Ensure window prices on recreational vehicles are installed and removed as instructed.
  • Write work orders, track problems, and ensure units are in proper working order.
  • Sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans, and maintain a clean and professional appearance on the lot.
  • Keep units and equipment secure from weather and maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
  • Fuel and propane check and refill as needed.
  • Stage units for sale and check in new units when they arrive from the factory.
  • Run errands for parts or supplies as required.
Requirements:
  • Some technician experience is preferred.
  • Towing experience is a plus.
  • Previous yard tractor and/or forklift experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to drive an RV is essential.
  • Experience using generators and operating slide-outs is a plus.
  • Ability to repair small items and identify problem units is required.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending are involved in this role.
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs and/or moving up to 50 lbs with assistive devices may be required.
