We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technician to join our clinical team at DispatchHealth. As a Medical Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of licensed Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide patient care and support.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitoring, including vital signs, to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Perform IV starts and blood draws, as permitted by state law, to administer medications and collect lab samples.
- Apply splints and provide wound care to patients in need.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain point-of-care laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
- Perform EKGs to diagnose cardiac conditions.
- Assist Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in the daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Stock and maintain the vehicle with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Medical Technician certification or equivalent experience.
- Basic Certification with WA, EMT License (hiring credential only).
- MA-C or MA-P certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- BLS, American Heart Association certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily.
