About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced employment attorney to join our client's collaborative legal team as a Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation and/or counseling, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on employment matters, including compensation and benefits, employment policies, restrictive covenants, terminations, and discrimination and harassment.
• Partner with the Chief Human Resources Officer to evaluate legal risks and collaborate on global employment and ethics matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and contracts.
• Handle employment claims and litigation.
• Manage annual employee compliance programs and certifications.
• Support internal investigations and respond to employment-related inquiries.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify compliance and labor and employment risks.
Required Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of employment litigation and/or counseling experience from a strong law firm or in-house legal team.
• Experience drafting and negotiating employment-related contracts.
• Substantive knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
