Data Center Engineer

Microsoft Corporation is a leader in cloud computing, and we are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team. As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering data center infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud business.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of technical Civil Engineering design experience, with expertise in commercial and industrial architecture and engineering, particularly in mission-critical data center campus design. They will also possess excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud software.
Responsibilities
- Provide civil engineering technical direction to deliver projects aligned with defined civil engineering, site, and infrastructure design and performance criteria within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with internal Microsoft and external stakeholders to ensure that Microsoft's data center civil engineering and site infrastructure design and quality standards are met.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field AND 5+ years of technical civil engineering design experience OR Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineering License in Civil Engineering.
This role is located in one of several hub locations, including Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX, or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
The estimated salary for this role is $153,600 - $250,200 per year, depending on location. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
