Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams in the conceptualization, development, and introduction of innovative water delivery products, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Design, evaluate, and enhance mechanical components for diverse applications.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the product development lifecycle, including design specifications, DFMEAs, test plans (DVPRs), and project reports.
  • Supervise the development and evaluation of prototypes, interpret test results, and refine designs based on analytical findings.
  • Identify and resolve engineering challenges encountered during the development phase for assigned components and systems, supporting product builds throughout the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to conduct assessments for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Engage with suppliers to address issues arising from both current production and development activities.
  • Conduct cost evaluations of various design alternatives under consideration.
  • Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders throughout the development process, ensuring alignment and support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in product development.
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis tools, including tolerance stack analysis, GD&T principles, FEA, and CFD.
  • Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and injection molded part design.
  • Familiarity with waterway, flow control, and refrigeration system design is advantageous.
  • Understanding of V&V Tools (DFMEA & DVPR) and Root Cause Analysis methodologies (8D, A3).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a creative and critical thinking approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
