Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Rooms patients using the EPIC rooming tabs and required elements per Joint Commission and regulations.
  • Implements measures to promote a safe environment for the patient/family.
  • Assists Provider in patient examinations and treatments/procedures by physicians including EMG, spasticity management, initial and recheck evaluations.
  • Draws up botox per physician order for the physician to administer.
  • Administers medications and nursing treatments within scope of practice
  • Refilling of baclofen pumps are done by physician, ARNP, or RN only.
  • Anticipates physician's need for supplies and instruments prior to and during the course of the examinations
  • Communicates effectively with discharge planners, insurance carriers, physicians, patient, family members and other related parties.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited nursing program for RN or LPN
  • Prefer one (1) year of rehab clinical experience or 1 year of clinic nursing experience and demonstrated clinical efficiency.
  • Possess a current Iowa RN or LPN license.
  • Previous rehabilitation nursing experience preferred.
