Job Summary

Nestle Operational Services Worldwide SA is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection and management of our intellectual property assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct domestic and foreign trademark searches and risk assessments, including preparing preliminary clearance reports for attorney review
  • Assist with global intellectual property enforcement matters, including research and evidence gathering for lawsuits, oppositions, cancellations, and other disputes, and related correspondence with business partners and external agents
  • Responsible for Nestle Purina's global intellectual property docket and portfolio, including management of all deadlines and necessary filings related to prosecution, enforcement matters, and renewals
  • Provide internal guidance to Nestle Purina's business teams concerning Brand IP, including trademark clearance, trademark applications, trademark registration maintenance, and trademark usage
  • Keep up to date on new legal department technology and best practices and assist in the implementation and training of the tools
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent AND advanced degree or paralegal certificate
  • 3+ years of experience as a trademark paralegal in a law firm and/or corporate legal department
Preferred Qualifications
  • Domestic and foreign trademark search and clearance experience is preferred
