POSITION SUMMARY

The Radiation Therapy Specialist is a certified professional responsible for delivering radiation treatment as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. This role requires interaction with a diverse group of individuals, including patients undergoing cancer treatment, medical staff, and family members. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, as the role involves caring for patients across all age demographics, from infants to the elderly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiation Therapist
  • Understanding of departmental operations and the principles of radiation therapy, with the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively to medical personnel and the public
  • Previous experience in a Radiation Oncology setting is preferred but not mandatory
WORK HOURS

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
