PCT Automation MES Analyst Job Description

Job Summary:

The PCT Automation MES Analyst will be responsible for standardizing the configuration, administration, and lifecycle planning of PCT production systems. This role will involve developing and maintaining standard DeltaV libraries for Baytown, alarm management, and process control implementation best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and implement systems optimization opportunities within the PCT and MES layers for PCT systems, including interface with IT.
  • Support cybersecurity practices and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Manage front and back area firewall rules.
  • Manage MES operating system patching and antivirus.
  • Support strategic and capital projects involving PCT systems.
  • Work closely with production, IT, and PCT engineers to optimize system architecture and applications.
  • Provide local technical support as needed for all MES and PCT systems and networks.
  • Aide the development of the PCT Specialists role and mentor less experienced PCT engineers.
  • Execute backups of OT systems (MES, DCS, PLC).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related degree with 5+ years' experience.
  • Industrial control system evaluation, design, and implementation experience.
  • Emerson Control Systems (DeltaV and Provox), Emerson AMS.
  • Cybersecurity practices and OT network management.
  • OSIsoft PI Historian, Honeywell Alarm Manager and Honeywell Control Performance Monitor, MES and its applications.

  • Ability to influence others with technological advances that support business objectives.
