Manufacturing Production Specialist

PrideStaff - Houston (Southeast) is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Production Specialist to join their team. This role involves operating high-speed machinery, maintaining production procedures, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $17 per hour, with additional benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, short-term disability, 401(k) retirement plan, and holiday pay.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Production Specialist will be responsible for:
- Setting up machines for production cycles, including calibration and cleaning
- Loading and unloading chemicals in a safe and controlled manner
- Reading and interpreting bills of material, safety rules, and operational procedures
- Double-checking work orders for accuracy and dimensional quality
- Inspecting raw materials for defects prior to machine operation
- Controlling and adjusting machine settings, such as speed
- Feeding raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspecting parts with precision and measuring tools if necessary
- Checking output for machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Maintaining records of approved and defective units or final products
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
- Understanding of production procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Attention to detail and teamwork skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree preferred
This position requires working Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional use of a forklift. Safety requirements include wearing steel toe boots, eyewear, and gloves when handling chemicals.
