ROLE OVERVIEW

The Culinary Supervisor collaborates closely with the Executive Chef and the Culinary Leadership Team to create and execute high-quality, scratch-made dishes. Your culinary expertise and foundational knowledge of cooking techniques are essential. You are detail-oriented and work effectively alongside your culinary colleagues, contributing to the overall success of the kitchen.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide guidance and support to your team through coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with various hotel departments, including Sales, Banquets & Catering, and Food & Beverage, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Exemplify professionalism in all interactions, serving as a role model within the community.
  • Demonstrate expertise in culinary techniques and the history of relevant cuisines, guiding others with patience and understanding.
  • Showcase business acumen by aligning initiatives with operational goals and budgets, while expressing a desire to develop this skill further.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of five years of progressive culinary experience, preferably in a multi-service hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Passion for culinary arts with experience across diverse cuisines.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating documents and proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage with all levels of hotel staff.
  • Proficient in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory and menu planning.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume demands.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport inventory and equipment as needed.
  • Willingness to work in warm environments while utilizing kitchen equipment.
