Dialysis Nurse Manager

Job Summary
The Dialysis Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating all activities in the Center to provide quality patient care. This role requires a Registered Nurse with the ability to problem solve, communicate effectively, and work in a group setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance/performance improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Selects, Trains/Orients nursing and technical staff. Evaluates performances, and initiate or make recommendations for personnel action.
- Provides clinical supervision for nursing and technical staff.
- Coordinates schedule for staff and shift times for patients.
- Assists in patient and staff education in the care and treatment of dialysis patients and helps physicians evaluate the effectiveness of the dialysis regimen.
- Provides dialysis treatment in conformance with nursing standards to include initiation, monitoring, and termination of treatment.
- Observe and report symptoms and conditions of the dialysis patient to the physician.
- Maintains a safe environment. Maintains CPS certification, and attends meetings as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Registered professional nurse with NYS RN License, 3 years of experience working in Renal Care setting.
