Position Overview:

General Dynamics Electric Boat, a leader in the design and construction of nuclear submarines, is in search of a dedicated and proactive Program Representative - Business Office Support to contribute to our Department 475 Business Office.

The D475 Business Office is essential in overseeing and fulfilling the financial, operational, and administrative requirements of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing, overseeing, and updating business systems for the department, including manpower planning, labor reporting, and budget management.
  • Formulating and managing the department's direct material budget, which varies from $2.5M to $7.5M annually, necessitating advanced Excel capabilities such as lookups and pivot tables.
  • Coordinating the procurement of IT resources and services from initial requirements to final delivery.
  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and enhance departmental performance.
  • Creating and managing the department's asset management system, utilizing Jira as a Super user.
  • Implementing and maintaining a documentation tracking system, leveraging Confluence as a Super user.
  • Designing and managing the department's SharePoint and website for both classified and unclassified systems.
  • Tracking and reconciling invoices for specific products.
  • Developing and maintaining digital forms for departmental use.
  • Facilitating the onboarding process for new team members.

Initial Duties:

  • Procurement of IT materials and services through Oracle and the company Purchasing Card, from submission to receipt.
  • Maintaining tracking of expenditures and forecasting future financial needs.
  • Monitoring and reporting on software licensing and maintenance using Snow Technology asset management tools.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic team environment. Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a final DoD Secret clearance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business.
  • Experience with Jira and Jira Software Management (JSM).
  • Familiarity with Confluence.
  • Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
