Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, inspect, and identify surgical and procedural instruments with precision and efficiency.
  • Meticulously inspect instruments and equipment for proper alignment, sharpness, function, and cleanliness before terminal cleaning and sterilization.
  • Assemble clean instruments into specialized sets, package or wrap those instruments for sterilization.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of sterile instruments by being mindful of surgery schedules.
  • Maintain knowledge of surgery preferences and assist with picking supplies and instruments for surgical cases.
  • Assist in maintaining current listings of contents of all operating room and procedure room instruments.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Recognize damaged or compromised sterile packaging and instruments.
  • Assist with education and in-service on instrumentation and equipment, sterilization, and disinfection.
  • Practice Standard Precautions at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience strongly preferred.
  • C.R. Central Service Tech certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 12-6:30pm. No nights, no weekends, or major holidays.
