Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, inspect, and identify surgical and procedural instruments with precision and efficiency.
- Meticulously inspect instruments and equipment for proper alignment, sharpness, function, and cleanliness before terminal cleaning and sterilization.
- Assemble clean instruments into specialized sets, package or wrap those instruments for sterilization.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of sterile instruments by being mindful of surgery schedules.
- Maintain knowledge of surgery preferences and assist with picking supplies and instruments for surgical cases.
- Assist in maintaining current listings of contents of all operating room and procedure room instruments.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, equipment, and instruments.
- Recognize damaged or compromised sterile packaging and instruments.
- Assist with education and in-service on instrumentation and equipment, sterilization, and disinfection.
- Practice Standard Precautions at all times.
- Detail-oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
- 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience strongly preferred.
- C.R. Central Service Tech certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Monday - Friday, 12-6:30pm. No nights, no weekends, or major holidays.
