Shift Leader Job Description

As a Shift Leader at Baskin-Robbins, you will be responsible for leading a team of Crew Members to deliver exceptional guest experiences and execute operational standards. Your primary goal is to ensure that every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and motivate Crew Members to achieve high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Deploy team members effectively to meet guest needs and service standards.
  • Support the training of Crew Members as directed by the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Communicate goals and hold team members accountable for performance.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and ensure that every guest feels valued and appreciated.
  • Drive a sense of urgency among team members to satisfy guests' needs and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Reinforce the use of systems, tools, and procedures to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure that quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Ensure that restaurant standards and marketing initiatives are properly executed.
  • Follow all systems and processes to control labor costs, food costs, and cash.
  • Monitor and ensure that Crew Members comply with all policies and procedures related to cleanliness, food safety, and restaurant safety and security.
  • Report equipment issues, provide Crew Member performance feedback, and discuss other restaurant opportunities with the General Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to fluently speak and read English.
  • Math and writing skills are essential.
  • Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Guest Focus: anticipate and understand guests' needs and exceed their expectations.

  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: make good decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
