Position Overview: The Cashier in the Cage is responsible for executing monetary transactions for guests at the casino's designated window bank. This role requires maintaining an accurate balance of company assets while delivering exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent, friendly, and professional service to guests, ensuring they are informed about the casino's services, promotions, and events.
  • Accurately manage guest and company funds by processing all transactions and related documentation in compliance with gaming regulations and company policies.
  • Facilitate the exchange of gaming chips and tickets, cash checks, and process markers and fills efficiently.
  • Safeguard casino cage assets and maintain the bank balance throughout the assigned shift.
  • Input markers, fills, and credit slips into the computer system.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in cash handling within a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills focused on guest service.
Preferred Skills:
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus.
Certifications:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as mandated by local gaming regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic math skills with a solid understanding of currency.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters.
  • Physical capability to frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend, and stoop.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise may occur.
